Football Friday

Ah, the first real Football Friday e mail this season! Some great opponents and some true patsies on our schedules this weekend, but every game counts so here we go...

Coach Rob takes the Florida Gators for another practice this week against the UCF Golden Knights. Too bad #4 on their basketball team two years ago can't play football. The Hokies take on the Tar Heels in Blacksburg. In SEC action, the Dawgs travel to see the Ole Ball Coach in Columbia. And in the game of the week, his #2 Longhorns host Coach Bmac's #1 Buckeyes. If last year is any indication of how this is going to go...

Coach Bmac will scrimmage his West Virginia team against the Eastern Washington Eagles. LSU plays Bmac's old hoops favorite, Arizona. Iowa will lay wood to the sinking Orange of Syracuse (anyone remember when these guys were good?) and the #1 Bucks take on The Longhorns!

Coach Woody is already sweating his #1 pick Notre Dame vs. Penn State. Does Jo Pa still have it in him? FSU gets a break in the action against the Troy Trojans hoping they don't do what they did to Mizzou two years ago. TCU take on Cal...Cal Davis that is. ASU will host the up and coming Nevada Wolves.

Coach GQ hopes that Auburn can keep Mississippi State from scoring their first points of the season. Cal doesn't get too much of break this week with Minnesota in town. Michigan vs. Central Michigan and Nebraska vs. Nichols State. Don't laugh now...remember Colorado last week.

Stadium of the week:
Royal Memorial Stadium. #1 OSU vs. #2 Texas, Capacity 80,082

Looking forward to the wins, losses, woodsheds and borrowed time. Can't wait to see all the coaches on the field Saturday night.

Coach Woody
