Week Two: Who?

This week's pool matchups seem especially lame to me. I know that powerhouses rack up early victories against creampuffs every year, but there were several solid games last week on the pool roster. Other than Texas-Ohio State, what's up with Week Two?

Coach Woody: Florida State plays Troy (1-0), who won 38-0 over Alabama State.
Coach GQ: Nicholls State (1-0), who beat Southern Arkansas 35-0
Coach Rob: Florida plays Central Florida (1-0), who beat Villanova 35-16
Coach Bando: West Virginia plays Eastern Washington (0-1), who lost to Oregon State 56-17

The EWU athletics site points out that the Eagles face a "challenge" this week. You think? (Don't laugh too hard, though. They did make the I-AA playoffs last year.)

I even left out Central Michigan and Cal Davis, and don't forget that the mighty Nevada Wolves have recent bowl history. Oh, the drama!

Check out this great logo site, by the way. May we never lack for obscure logos. (By the way, Blogger is having trouble posting images today, so I'll have some choice logos to show off later if the ones above aren't visible right now.)

FSU better not underestimate the Troy Trojans. That game (against) Mizzu sucked a couple years ago. I hope the outcome is the same this year.

You're right, but it still ain't gonna happen. FSU is no Mizzou. Still, if they were ever ripe for a letdown, it would be this week.
