Best Radio Rant!
This has got to be the best rant about a team (Michigan State) choking against an opponent (Notre Dame). It really gets good about 3 minutes into the tirade. Take about 10 minutes to listen to this... you'll be happy you did. It's great.

A 25-year old graduate of Michigan State University, Valenti originally hails from Troy, New York. His co-host of the Sports Inferno is Central Michigan University grad and Detroit News columnist Terry Foster. Known for his colorful quotations, Valenti once lamented that Foster's singing had given him "the musical equivalent of herpes."
On Monday, September 25th, 2006, following a Michigan State University football loss against Notre Dame -- a game in which his alma mater blew an eighteen point 4th quarter lead -- Valenti went off on a thirteen minute on air tirade ripping into his beloved Spartans for their poor showing. Highlights of the "rant" include Valenti losing his voice while screaming about the ills of the MSU coaching staff, comparing them to H.R. Pufnstuf and Teddy Ruxpin. Valenti was subsequently sent home by station manager Dan Zampillo after his on-air meltdown caused him to completely lose his voice.
Valenti received great national exposure after his "rant" was posted on various sports message boards throughout the country leading to his being interviewed by Sports Illustrated.

That was too obnoxious for me to make it through, but it was funny. It's still better than slapping yourself in the face during a news conference.
Too bad this rant hasn't made things any better for the rest of MSU's season.
